Role Overview

In our journey towards becoming a digital-first organization, Asia Securities is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and maintain applications, backend components, and integrations for the assigned in-house application portfolio. Key Responsibilities

• Develop assigned application features, backend components, and integrations.
• Clarify user stories and acceptance criteria with the technical and business analysis teams.
• Provide task estimates, report progress, and highlight technical blockers.
• Perform developer testing, participate in code reviews, investigate defects, and support retesting with QA.
• Prepare technical and release documentation and support controlled deployments and application stabilisation.
• Support application code transfers and maintain reusable code and documentation in approved repositories.
• Follow approved architecture, security, data protection, and change management requirements.
• Collaborate with the engineering team and interns to share technical knowledge.
• Coordinate assigned integration activities with the Data Science team when required.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2+ years of practical experience in software/application development, including developing, testing, and maintaining applications.
• Practical knowledge of backend services, integrations, and debugging.
• Understanding of version control, code reviews, and technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and delivery skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical requirements and development teams.
• Tech Stack: .NET Core (C#, ASP.NET Core Web API, Entity Framework Core), Next.js (React, TypeScript), PostgreSQL, Redis, Git/GitHub, and Azure/AWS cloud platforms.
